HOME AT LAST

Finally, after five days at the hospital we are home at last. Keith (my husband) had major back surgery Monday and we got home yesterday. The doctors say it will be 6 to 8 weeks recovery but at least the surgery is over and he is doing better every day.

So please say a prayer every night for him and ME...........................

GODS LESSONS

First of all, let me say that I am not a whiner. (as you can ask anyone in my family) BUT this week has been an unbelieveable week for me.

First Keith was scheduled for the wrong surgery. While I am trying to get that worked out, (which I finally did) MY Doctors office calls to let me know they have scheduled me for a test the next morning because my mammogram came back. I went to the test with my best friend because I didn't want anyone in my family to know ( except Stephanie).

Well when someone tells you they have to have that done , believe them when they say that you think of everything that could happen. From beginning to end....... if you get what I am saying.........Believe me you are not concerned over the little things, you really start thinking what is important in life. Luckily for me everything came back fine (as my daughter said it would, and if you don't know her, she is always right!!!!! :) which was great for me)

But this is one of GODS Lessons.......when you get to busy to really look at the important things and focus to much on the things that are not important...he brings you back to reality and to him.

The rest of my week has been wonderful even though it was hectic. Last night I got to spend the night with Tucker, Jackson and Cassidy (and Stephanie). Jackson woke me up at 2:00 a.m. and being the sweet brother that he is, he woke Cassidy up too. But between playing with them and getting a hug and kiss from Tucker before school this morning was worth every bit of the week I had. And I would not have realized that if God hadn't caused something to bring me back to what is really important.

BIRTHDAY BOY

Tuckers birthday was Thursday but he had his actual "Birthday Party" yesterday at the Bowling Alley. I thought it turned out really well. All the kids (including parents) seemed to really enjoy themselves. His theme was Pirates which was really cute.

Its just unbelieveable that he is SEVEN years old. Even though he is growing up he is still so sweet and doesn't mind giving his Nanny kisses. (But I still love him more than he loves me)

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT

I receive a email everyday "Gods Daily Promises". I have a doctors appointment tomorrow and have really been dreading it because I have gained alot of weight this year and am really down about it. I read my daily email today and it made me really think. Here I am feeling down about getting older when I should be happy that I can do all of the things that I take for grant every day.
Just think about it, God gave us eyes so we could see our beautiful children, flowers, the ocean. Our nose so we could smell the beautiful aroma of flowers, our ears so we could hear birds chirping and people laughing. We should be happy with who we are and give thanks to God every day for giving us the gifts he does.

I just want to thank you Jesus for all the gifts you have given me. You have given me two wonderful children that I love very much and that mean the world to me. You have given me five grandchildren that I adore and love with all my heart. You gave me the best Mom anyone could ever have, a sister that definitely keeps things lively, a brother and husband that are so different then me (but I love them anyway) and many, many more people in my life.

BETTER DAYS

Wasn't the greatest of weekends. Started off okay then I got sick on Saturday. I had told Tucker and Jackson I would probably come and spend the night. Guess I will have to make it up to them. Did finally finish working on the table skirt for my scrapbook room. Hopefully one day I will finish organizing, decorating and start scrapbooking.

Guess I better post before Stephanie deletes my blog.......

Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am a wife, mother, Nanny, daughter, sister, friend and scrapbooker. I guess you can say without a doubt that being called Nanny just brightens my day. (most days anyway). I have two children, Stephanie and Chris.....Five grandchildren (yes, FIVE) They are Tucker, age 6 (soon to be 7) Trinity, age 6 (she wants to be older then Tucker), Hayden, age 3, Jackson, age 2 and Cassidy age 1.

To say the least they are a handful. I get to see Tucker, Jackson and Cassidy the most. They live closer to me then Trinity and Hayden.

I love scrapbooking, reading, gardening and of course playing with my grandchildren. That's enough about me..........................

To say the least this week has not been the best of weeks. Jackson, my 2 year old grandson fell and broke his collar bone.........then several days later tornadoes touched down in Alabama destroying a school killing nine children (I believe that was the last count) One of the tornadoes touched down where Stephanie and Chris grandparents live, thank God they were okay.

Definitely a time to thank God for all the blessings that he gives us daily that we take for
granted.
